John Adams Presidency and the difficulties he had faced...

In the 1790's John Adam's was the new president of the U.S. He was the first president to live in the what today is the White House. Washington D.C at his time was a city that wasn't important and in bad conditions. Some difficulties during John Adams presidency were: the U.S.A had faced a very serious economic crisis, and an undeclared naval war with France, which had added to the economic problems because the trade could not be done. Meanwhile, three French emissaries (known later simply as X, Y, and Z) demanded that the Americans pay a bribe of $250,000 and provide a $10 million loan. The Americans refused to pay anything. Then during the winter of 1798, an undeclared naval war took place between France and the United States.
